A relaxing and insightful sunset tour exploring the architectural gems of our city all while cruising along Lady Bird Lake aboard the M.V. Pride & Joy II. Your expert hosts will demystify downtown Austin’s points of interest from the past, present, and future. Beer, wine, and light snacks will be available for purchase. Bring a friend and make a night of it!

This unique experience will highlight recent changes to the skyline as well as the pressing opportunities and challenges ahead. For this special Spring Edition, we are honored to be joined by two architecture & design luminaries. Michael Hsu, FAIA, and Wendy Dunnam Tita, FAIA, will be your guides and provide thoughtful, inspiring insights and perspectives. Both leaders in the field, their work has shaped Austin’s built environment and their innovative approaches to design have fueled projects across the U.S. and beyond.

Seating will be first-come, first-served. Seats on the top deck are not guaranteed to all attendees so please arrive early.

About Your Guides

Wendy Dunnam Tita, FAIA, is a Principal at Page, leading the Commercial and Mixed-Use practice nationally, which includes Housing, Hospitality, Office, Workplace and Mixed-Use projects. The firm is the design juggernaut behind beloved Texas architecture both public and private including Buffalo Bayou Park and Discovery Green in Houston, the Austin Airport and current expansion, Silicon Labs, Indeed Tower, AMLI buildings in the 2nd Street District in Austin, and some of our city’s most important multifamily towers like 70 Rainey, 44 East, Austin City Lofts and 321 w 6th, currently under construction. She served as the 2018 Board President of AIA Austin, was instrumental in starting Austin Women in Architecture Committee, and was elevated to AIA’s college of Fellows in 2018.

Michael Hsu, FAIA, IIDA, is the founder and principal of Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, an award winning, fully integrated architecture and interior design firm. MHOA was founded in 2005 and now has studios in Austin and Houston, as well as staff in Dallas, Denver, Nashville, and Louisville. Hsu has created varied concepts across industries including Sway, Loro, Fareground, LINE Hotel, South Congress Hotel, P.Terry’s, Canopy Art Studios, Springdale General and Lamar Union. He is the 2019 Past President of AIA Austin and was elevated to AIA’s College of Fellows in 2021.
